The thing is its up to the people to redistribute the wealth, sure you can play monopoly with life however your mind is not prepared for people to jump out of the board game, rip the rule book and hang your family. The problem is talking, backhanders, and lawyers has worked, but once it snaps it wont matter what party takes the mantel. This is the route they have set, who knows if they will wake up. But if you can tell barefaced lies to a judge and pay your way out of trouble, one day a mob will go beyond justice in the most vilest ways. Its one thing to riot randomly, which i think is what governments expect to happen. I feel there is a chance the mob will hunt. Another sad blip in human history.

Funny how you mention Monopoly.

The game was created to teach people how land speculation destroys society, evetually leaving one person owning everything and everyone else bankrupt... despite people earning enough money as they go pass "go" to buy a reasonable house for their family... 1/3 of the board in fact.

Also it shows that buying stations and utilities - providing services - is not as profitable as buying houses and charging rent.

The game can be improved/ruined by adding a 5% land tax on each pass of "Go" with the money going out as a citizens income.

I saw a good point made in a blog post which described not only one of the effects of income inequality in the United States but the way that it is worsening.

Just to add to the sense of slowdown and unease the latest number for the number of food stamp recipients in the United States has been released and it has risen by 2.5% in a month to 45,753,708. I do not shorten this number as I think they all deserve to be counted…

Nearly forty-six million on food stamps is a chilling number.
