Putin - America Are Like Parasites

Recommended Posts

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/word-war-two-after-calling-bernanke-hooligan-putin-now-says-america-parasite-living-global-econ

Three weeks ago Putin called Bernanke a hooligan. Since that remark came from the (allegedly) largest oil producing country in the world, it provoked nary a peep from America's foreign department. Today, he decided to ratchet up the rhetoric, and in a speech to a Kremlin youth group told his listeners what the bulk of the rest of the world thinks of America: ""They are living beyond their means and shifting a part of the weight of their problems to the world economy," Putin told a Kremlin youth group while touring its summer camp north of Moscow. "They are living like parasites off the global economy and their monopoly of the dollar."" Russia has not made its distrust of America clear in the past, and while others (ahem China) have been jawboning about selling Treasurys even as they continue buying US one-ply paper, Russia has been actively dumping its Treasury paper to the lowest in years. The reason for the unprovoked outburst? The insanity in Congress. "Thank god," Putin said, "that they had enough common sense and responsibility to make a balanced decision." The former KGBer's solution? Other, and more deserving, reserve currencies.

He's certainly not mincing his words.

He's certainly not mincing his words.

He's not, trouble is he's correct.

This parasite behaviour is systemic it would seem. Take the UK over the last decade or more, it too has lived like a parasite, feeding off the illegitimate gains made from rising house prices. Some would argue having an oil or gas field in ones backyard and living off that is much the same also.

He's wrong - he shouldn't have used the work 'like'

He and his ilk were not blaming America when they were in meltdown a couple of years ago and had their begging bowl out. Putin and the Ruskies can kiss my Western ass.

You mean the begging bowl caused by Western interference in internal russian affairs? You do remember they had tanks shooting at the White House in Moscow?

I wonder who stired up and funded Yeltsin's Coup?

I wonder who started trying to force russia to sell its nationalised assets to the private sector for pennies in the pound?

Yet more chicago school economic shock and awe policy from the west that resulted in destruction of an economy, the enpoverishment of its people, and the growth in wealth of a very select few.

Shall we make a list of the countries the IMF and West have raped?

Interesting. I wonder if you can die from irony poisoning. Did he said it with a straight face?

He's probably thinking of the anti Russia hysteria that came from the US/UK a few years ago, that ended up with some tit for tat diplomat expulsions. I even remember a documentary on the BBC about the beslan school with the tone of "there's two sides to every story". This has all changed now NATO has had to beg Russia for passage through its territory to supply its ridiculous war in Afghanistan.

It wasn't the Chicago Boys that presided over 80 years of famine, impoverishment, repression, militarism and murder.

Destruction of what economy? Brezhnev's?

The US Dollar reserve system is in the process of mean reversion. Russia, China, India, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iran and perhaps even the Euro system. All anticipating the end of "exhorbitant privilege".

You've got to be a real dollar bug to not see the tectonic plates of history moving here.

when the west started to put money into russia, it prospered. but then russia's true colours started to show, they got too big for their boots, they were making massive money from oil and gas and thought they could start to bully people about again.

as soon as they went into georgia, foreign investment started to pull out. and they had to prop this up with their oil money to keep their currency stable.

when the credit crisis hit and the price of oil and gas fell dramatically suddenly russia growth and economy stalled.

their own sucess was dependant on the west but they didnt acknowledge it, and they suddenly realised that they still had little power of their own.

putin is holding russia back. no development of their infrastructure, no development of the domestic economy, he is just syphoning the money from oil and gas to pursue his own far right agenda.

russia needs putin out of the way so that people like Medvedev can modernise russia and move away from its cold war mentality.

well actually russia needs the west more than putin is letting on.

if he continues playing hardball with things like energy supply,he is likely to find himself sandwiched between the fourth reich and energy-hungry china....who will certainly not be quite so diplomatic when it comes to securing their own energy needs.

when it comes to the crunch..both the EU and china want domination...and if they were to combine and balkanise russia for it's energy reserves(let alone people, because lets face it,neither regime is frankly the most caring-sharing type about their people)...russia will get crushed.

their best bet is to back off and learn to trade properly with uncle sam, they are going to need them as counterweight to the new roman empire...that means a bit of give and take.

...so...stop arming the rag-heads and let them fight themselves..

So we arnt talking about South America then? Oh and that was only 40 years. My mistake.

When men in uniforms kill unarmed citizens, do you know what side they're representing? What do their badges say? Who arms and pays them? Governments. Every single time, throughout history with only trivial exceptions.

South America is prospering (thanks to the Chicago Boys to a large extent) whilst the West collapses, thanks to snivelling little socialist Quislings like you.

Thank god my wife isn't English so I've got an escape hatch out of this moronic country.

MODS: please ban me from HPC. And I mean the 'DrBubb' style ban, where you can't even read the site. I'm going to leave you to wallow in your own filth.
