Land Registry Prediction Thread

Because I see less flats and terraces on the marker recently and I think the few detached and 3 bed semis will skew the figure unfavourably further masking the crash.

Isn't the Land Registry figure calculated from repeat sales?

Thought you were the closest last time IIRC?

Really? That just shows how much confidence I have I don't even bother remembering what I've predicted!

It is, but... Repeat sales of a house with improvements happening in the interim, would imply house prices increasing. This could be misused to suggest that a house with no improvements is also increasing in price...

Agreed, but this is June's data for negotiations around April time.

Yep, could still be seeing some of the stamp duty rush for London. Saying that, it still fell nicely the last two months.

Looks like one local paper has jumped the gun?

House prices and sales both rising

Don't know what release they are quoting, they call it the "latest" one. Could be last month. Even so it's actually a mixed picture for the region that they are commenting on and a nice bearish quote from an EA too.

Someone has posted some actual facts !!!

Don't know who that sensible chap is

I've not seen any E.A. Propaganda in the local news websites for a while...usually because it's counter productive as someone always seems to contradict what they say with actual facts from the real world.
