" The Demonisation Of The Right "

Recommended Posts

http://archbishop-cranmer.blogspot.com/2011/07/demonisation-of-right.html

I've been thinking the same. I noticed old Vince the other day talking about "right wing nutters" ... nutters who want an overarching socialist world hegemony to collapse and fail. That is they want the left-wing statist project to fail, and the world to be less governed. That is, they are simply right wing.

Where are the "left wing nutters" and "left wing extremists" on my impartial BBC? (Oh, that's right, they are on it.)

Lefties always attempt to claim the moral high ground. But the fact remains, that in the 20th century, an ultra left wing dictator (Stalin) claimed more lives than all the ultra right wing dictators (Hitler, Mussolini, Franco) put together.

And to me, as a minarchist, they are all statists, all 'left-wing' (these labels are meaningless really), all people who in essence want to organise other people's lives. I don't want right-wingers either!

I think you'll find that a lot of the American right-wingnuts certainly DO want to organise other people's lives.

They want nothing of the sort. Republicans in the US are perfectly happy taxing people until the pips squeak as long as the money goes to pay for military salaries and hardware, agricultural subsidies and boondoggle construction projects -- money which all flows to the parasites who fund and vote for the Republican Party. The states that receive more in Federal payments than they pay in taxes are almost all send Republicans to Washington. They also want to ram their conservative Christian "family values" down your throat 24/7. They're quite happy with world hegemony -- as long as they're the ones in control.

I had never heard the term "minarchist" before. I think that I have found an ideological home.

Based on your OP though, people will unfortunately read "minarchist" as "antichrist".

Just a few months ago the right-wing Freedom Association and Norris McWhirter were caricatured by the BBC as fascists and neo-Nazis, and even Margaret Thatcher’s official biographer Charles Moore now asserts that Right is wrong. International Development Minister Alan Duncan equates socially-conservative, right-wing Tories with the Taliban; the co-Chairman of the Conservative Party Baroness Warsi has had a swipe at the Right; and David Cameron isn’t averse to talking about ‘right-wing extremists’; a ‘right-wing fascist party’; ‘far right groups’ and ‘the hard right’.

and there you have it - the basic reason that the right is being pilloried, and this being supported by people we thought were right-wingers, is because they don't care, being sensible righties thewy realise that the label does not matter - if people hate the right then let's join in and agree with them and maintain power and the power to reform

in contrast, the major error perpetrated by left wingers is vanity, they are incapable of separating their political-identity with their underlying intention

why should Warsi and Cameron care about how they are labelled when their aim is to instigate powerful reforms, surely the label is irrelevent as opposed to their actions and ability to maintain power in order to bring about those actions? this is very pragmatic conservatism at work.

Alaska being the prime example, in stark contrast to its image portrayed by Ms Palin.

If you repeat that National Socialists were 'right-wing' often enough most people believe you.

I can't be bothered to go through all this again, but anyone who wants to educate themselves get yourself a beer, and chill in the garden with your laptop watching these, you will learn a lot:

Do you mean "anarchist" LuckyOne or am I:

the-omen-damien-crosses.jpg

I actually did mean "antichrist". Self reliance and a removal of the power of the political class to be replaced by democracy and free markets is not a popular view.

Minarchism is a practical approach for those who feel that anarchism is a beautiful theory but that it is more practical to retain nation states and for part of the collective actions of a society to be carried out through a very limited state as a matter of practicality rather than ideology.

I know that some will see this as an intellectual compromise. It might well be but it is a good step on the way from "here" to "there".

They were Fascists, ultra right wing. But, as has been pointed out, there is little difference between ultra right (Fascist) and ultra left (Communist), both are totalitarian dictatorships.

Funny that - considering HollyWood 'BANG' out thousands of porn films and California hosts many of the Porn websites (so I read )

There is some porn star called Ron Jeremy - I read "he's a jew making the Christians go blind" on a Jewish pisstaking website written by hilarious, self deprecating jews.

Holly is old english spelling for 'holy' by the way - we all know what a wood is
