JPJPJP
1280 was a significant price to get above imo If it holds, it is another bullish sign
warpig
What metrics are you looking for to go long gold?
JPJPJP
What metrics are you looking for to go long gold? For me to go long gold from here, the price would have to test the 20 day Exponential Moving Average (that the price is now above) and bounce off it and then make a 20 day high (highest it has been for 20 days previously) Then, I would be looking for a long entry Conversely, if it tests the 20 day EMA and closes below it, I would be looking for a short entry Either way, I wouldn't be surprised to be wrong. I have no position just now Edited February 11, 2014 by JPJPJP
warpig
Thanks, I assume when you enter so will others for the same reasons and knowing when that is helps draw a line in the sand.
R K
Shallow counter-trend rally setting up the next major leg down. I'd be looking for $ 3 figures by the end of the next sell-off.

Killer Bunny
Here's a chart. So you think that's sizeable? http://scharts.co/1iWzQ9u I do think a near 40% rise in GDXJ - since Xmas! - as I wrote y'day is sizeable. Maybe you don't but that's up to you. Quicken
Not gold related, but the dots and titles on hpc how do they work. Number of posts. Standard titles changing as the number rises. Special titles chosen when at a high level I think.

JPJPJP
http://www.cnbc.com/id/101408290 "This will drop gold to $1,000: Credit Suisse pro" Unless you also see proof that he has a sizeable chunk (1%) of his investable wealth backing his pronouncement, it is safer to ignore it really. warpig
Doesn't the FED own about 17% of issuance? Rising IR's will see that increase surely..? The Govt has little to do with it, ultimately. #TurningJapanese
