Do they take into account the amount of crap in debt management plans and mortgages converted to IO/arrears capitalised? This stuff is booked as performing. Joke.

Of course they'll survive - we're all in this together and as such the taxpayer/saver will be soaked yet again.

What a joke!

I was discussing risk today at work, and let me tell you, it is VERY hard to calculate true risk vs financial meltdown/defaults/eurozone collapse.

Sure, I can pick to expose myself only to debtors who are not at risk of default. But who have those debtors lent money to? Who is the domino next down the line? And the domino after that? And the one after that? There is simply no way to know just how far away your money is or even where it is.
