Maybe he might learn something from going there , which is Wimbledon knows the right inflation rate is 15% so has raised it's prize fund to match it.

Maybe he participants know more about currency depreciation than Myopic Mervyn. They won't accept sturdling without a commensurate increase inthe pot.

How much has it gone up in US dollars? Euros? Gold?

Wimbledon is a very British institution and has no interest in the value of US dollars , Euros , or Gold. It sticks to it's traditions of Strawberrys and Cream and makes sure that the prize money is line with British Inflation .

But clearly in line neither with CPI nor with RPI.

Has the sterling price of strawberries and cream gone up by 15%?

Note that almost all the highly paid prizewinners are not British. :(

You cannot be serious.

and what were ticket prices this year? And sponsorships?

have they gone up 15%?

As for the costs themselves, I dont buy anything to do with a sport that is non team, non national and purely there for individuals to earn fortunes with their talent.

Henman or the current scot do not represent a single one of us on these islands in any way shape or form.

We name bits of land around losers, and there is serious debate about renaming it after another.....

The only good thing about Wimbledon are its mark as the start of rainy season, and even that didnt occur this year.
