The Masked Tulip Posted June 30, 2011 Share Posted June 30, 2011 Labour 'left the British working man screwed by cheap Labour', says Roger Daltrey Daltrey, now 67, has told how the influx of thousands of immigrant workers from the rest of Europe during Labour’s 13-year reign left the indigenous working-classes unemployed.The star told how the last government left ‘the British working man screwed like he'd never been screwed before by cheap labour coming in from Europe.’ He went on: ‘We do need immigration, but surely it should be a level playing field where they can't undercut every working–class bloke in England for their jobs.’ However the current Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government were not spared his ire either, with Daltrey adding: ‘The quality of our politicians is tragic.’ He continued: ‘I don't care what people say about me. I tell it like it is, and, if I'm wrong, I'll just say, 'OK, I'm wrong.' I'm not always the most diplomatic person. I know my faults, but I'm comfortable with me.’ Daltrey also had harsh words for the machinations of the NHS. The star has long been involved in charity the Teenage Cancer Trust. As a result, he has experienced the workings of the NHS. If I get you right, you claim that in some karmic way the British Working Man deserved what they got (being screwed over by new labours deliberate lack of any immigration controls). Now the unions are running the country I couldn't give two hoots anymore, it's inevitable the people will vote labour again and they will continue with their scorched earth policies. I can think of a couple of examples but not much to justify the comment. - For construction workers, they seem to need less proof of qualifications e.g. UK NVQs - Immigrants less able to claim out-of-work benefits for a period so have to work. The incentive that immigrants have that the British working man does not . I.e. work for less and live 10 to a house , but save enough money to set themselves up after a few years back in their HOME LAND . 2.Being able to claim child benefit for children back home which goes a lot further there than it does here. 3. Able to play the race card whether appropriate or not , a great tool to use on any occasion employers will run a mile rather than stand and fight their ground even if no racism has occoured. 4. Able to undercut the British worker on pay as the British worker has set a life style up from past earnings ( not nessasarily flash just average ) that will not be sustained by taking lower pay. 5. Have had great reviews in the media , i.e. newspapers, tv, radio, voiced by captains of industry , M.P.'s ect who sing their prasies above the British worker ( whether true or not ) this gives them a head start over the British worker who has often been accused of being lazy . Had to phone into work one evening and take an emergency holiday as my hospital appointment ran over by two hours , the reason given was the department had had trouble with interpreters turning up late. He can come across a bit right wing sometimes but his heart is there, he cares about Britain and he has done so much for the teenage cancer trust. That's a shame , maybe you might have been able to afford it if your wages had not been undercut by cheap labour, inflation lies and higher rates on income tax. If an unemployed Pole does the same, they'll be better off. It's that simple. Socialism is loved by the idle and the idle generally are better off under a Labour government. But the poor also got screwed over by the last Labour government too in a major way which will impact generations. And yet interview seemingly anyone who lives north of Watford* on TV and back it comes "I'll be voting Labour. I've always voted Labour. They stand up for us, the working class" like it's some sort of badge their parents pinned on them which can't be removed even with surgery.
