Gigantic Purple Slug

Mushy Peas

Recommended Posts

Love mushy peas but I know a fair few people who find them nauseating.

Of course, I don't wind them up about this.

Well, not much. :)

I've noticed one difference between the north and south is that a chippy in the north always has a cauldron of mushy peas on the go.

Whereas in the south someone has to go in the back open a tin and microwave it.

Yorkshire caviar !

Mushy peas are a power house of goodness with the following benefits: No added preservatives, low in fat, source of fibre, no added flavourings; sugar or colours, GM free AND they form 1 of your '5 a day' portions!

So get them dahn yer, yer big Jessies.

Asda's are quite nice. Prefer them to the chip shop offerings.

In fact worth considering a "mushy pea stash."

I like them.

Actually i stopped at a suburban deli the other week for a small bucket of hot chips and had a laugh.

Chinese owner was charging 10 cents per spray of vinegar , not full strength either the stuff watered down 3 part water to one of vinegar. As if the profit margin on chips isn't enough already
