Property Bee Now Compatible With Firefox 5

I'd blame Mozilla for their ridiculous rapid release program. It's broken a lot of plugins, like property bee and the Adobe pdf creator.

Agreed as a general principle, but not in the case of Acrobat because it is such an expensive program to buy. For that money, I expect them to deal with this sort of issue as it arises, more-or-less instantly.

Installed the nightly tester workaround, re-enabled PDF creator and got a blue screen of death when I restarted Firefox. Now gone back to Firefox 4...

The updated Property-bee file is an xpi file which has to be installed via Firefox and isn't in a standard windows installer.

In Firefox 5 installing add-ons has changed.

Once you've downloaded the updated property-bee.xpi file and know where you've put it. You have to open the Firefox top left tab, and from the menu choices chose Add-ons.

Then in the new tab that opens there is a little cog symbol to the left of the search box which opens a new drop down menu.

In that menu chose the centre option "Install Add-ons from File"

Now "Windows Explorer" opens and you will have to navigate back to the "property-bee.xpi" file that you found at the beginning.

Once Firefox has finished restart and then the bee works again.

As a footnote it seems worrying the someone got a BSOD and should report that to property-bee

Property Bee has never been installed via a windows installer, it's always been an XPI file.

No need for any of that bol1ocks, Just drag and drop the downloaded .xpi file onto one of your open Firefox windows and it will install it automagically for you.

Thanks you that, not sure why add-ons are handled differently in FF5.

Made a new version of Property Bee that works with Firefox 5 (and 6beta and 7alpha) without the need to install other extensions like the Nightly Tester or Add-On Compatibility checker (I like to keep my FF install as slimline as possible) B)

Property Bee 2.0.9.1 (unofficial)

Tested and working fine in FF5. Will remove link once Beerhunter get his official version out.

Thank you Little Professor, works great.

Anyone tried using another add-on Rightmove Tweaker 0.0.4

This plugin allows you to show a bigger preview picture for houses on the rightmove.

It also shows you a modified price for each house, where the modification is the price - x percentage
