Latest Jobs Figures Down To Previous Government?

Recommended Posts

Normally you can attribute the first 18 months or even 2 years of economic performance, to policies installed by the previous government. But could it be that the current improvement in jobs created, is down to the new government, paticularly their clamp-down on overseas workers granted work permits?

How are they going to claim it?

Everytime theres a less than glowing news report Ballsup says its because of 'tory led cuts' or somesuch.

Even for him it would be difficult to change tack suddenly.

Particularly when he keeps saying we should be postponing austerity like Obama and the economy isnt looking so sweet there...

I like to think that government policies have little effect what so ever - if people think they can make money then then they will do it if they don't then they won't. Politicians take to much credit for what is basically Market forces.

Over the short term certainly.

Over the longer term governments can't create jobs but they can certainly destroy them through taxation and regulation.

Good slightly less bad things = current Governments policies.

Bad things = previous Governments policies.

Fixed for you.

Osborne really is not fixing anything, he only only making it worse slower.

What remains of the free market deserves the credit for this news.
