If you can't sell houses in this up-market seaside town, with London/retirement money always looking to buy, is any EA selling any anywhere?

Comments section is informative, and gratifyingly bitter....

I live in Poole and have cash at the ready; nothing is selling and there are some big drops going on.

But,local agents are in la la land and still talking up the market.

Saying stuff like this area is immune etc etc

Good, the market is so funny in Parkstone and the higher end post codes there is a huge spread in prices in one road. The difference between those that need to sell for a price and those that just need to sell.

There seems to be loads of people here from Poole/Bournemouth , I grew up in Parkstone and now live in Southbourne, I never realized prices were falling so much

This is welcome news. I've been searching in Lymington for over two years as a cash buyer, but finding no compromise from either sellers or EA's. Something like this might be what's needed to shock that Hampshire/Dorset complacency.
