Deputy Prime Minister

Written answers and statements, 9 June 2011

John Mann (Bassetlaw, Labour)

To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what the annual salary cost is of staff in his private office; and what the cost was of salaries in the Deputy Prime Minister's Office in each year from 2007-08 to 2009-10.

Nicholas Clegg (Deputy Prime Minister, Lord President of the Council; Sheffield, Hallam, Liberal Democrat)

The total staffing cost for my office in 2010-11 was £1,028,487.

Note the question was for each year but Clegg only supplies 2010-2011
