exiges Posted June 13, 2011 Share Posted June 13, 2011 In these difficult times, when many private sector workers have seen reduced hours, reduced pay etc., it makes sense for councils who don't want to lose staff but need to cut their expenditure to cut working hours.. people get to keep their jobs. Apparently the ground/street workers were given a week to decide, they took 24hrs to agree to the cut, they told the management who said they would not accept it and have decided to go on strike It's hard to believe it is the management who aren't willing to take a cut isn't it! You tend to find the public ignore bin strikes until the crap is piled high in front of their door and rats are having a party. Especially if the weather's warm.....
