Bilderberger Meeting In Switzerland Now On (9-12/6)

Recommended Posts

As you might know today the annual "secret" Bilderberger meeting has started, this year it takes place in St.Moritz, Switzerland.

Given the calibre of the persons partecipating (the corporate, political and aristocratic elite of Europe and north America) decisions made at the Bilderberger meeting will determine policies over the next 12 months.

What are they planning for us this year? Global meltdown?

Charlie Skelton reports:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/blog/2011/jun/08/bilderberg-2011-a-political-problem

Here is some background info on the Bilderberger meeting for those of you not up-to-speed:

Interview with one of the Bilderberger founders Denis Healey (aka Lord Healey), a must read:

This years meeting mentioned in the guardian:

Love the BBC's "nothing to see here" take on this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-13682082

Maybe those lazy incompetent BBC journos should read up what one of the Bilderberger founders Denis Healey (aka Lord Healey), himself said:

This is how Denis Healey described a Bilderberg person to me: "To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair. [...]

He said, "Bilderberg is a way of bringing together politicians, industrialists, financiers and journalists. Politics should involve people who aren't politicians. We make a point of getting along younger politicians who are obviously rising, to bring them together with financiers and industrialists who offer them wise words. It increases the chance of having a sensible global policy."

"Does going help your career?" I asked.

"Oh yes," he said. Then he added, "Your new understanding of the world will certainly help your career."

"Which sounds like a conspiracy," I said.

"Crap!" said Denis Healey. "Idiocy! Crap! I've never heard such crap! That isn't a conspiracy! That is the world. It is the way things are done. And quite rightly so."

Obviously the Bilderbergers don't care much about democracy...

The thing is, if they wanted to stay in control and get richer, the best policy would be to ensure continued economic growth and political stability, by and large.

The *really* worrying thing that people are scared of is that no one is really in control.. or these people are in control, but are really the kind of people you might meet on internet forums (as an example).. being so rich and well-connected that no one dares to contradict you does not automatically make you smart..

No but it means people will TELL you you are smart. You take what you can get these days...

Ordinary people can only guess at the goings-on at the meetings of the secretive Bilderberg Group, which is bringing together the world's financial and political elite this week. Conspiracy theories abound as to what is discussed and who is there. Why, asks Tom de Castella?

I fear for the state of learning in the world if we all had Mr. de Castella's driving curiosity.

If, as the mySociety website states, "they work for you", then yes, I would say that a certain amount of transparency would be welcome.

When someone can give me some indication that anyone knows wtf they are doing, then I'll start believing in conspiracy theories.

We are being shafted, but it seems pretty obvious that those doing the shafting are as thick as pig-poo and are driven by greed rather than ability to think through to the consequences of what they are doing.

Interesting. I cant actually see anything wrong with what Healy described. A meeting of high flyers from a variety of backgrounds - industrialists, politicians, fanciers, academics etcs., striving for a world where democracy rules and we stop killing eachother.

Hardly massively secret when the attendees are published.

Some people really need to get out more....

When someone can give me some indication that anyone knows wtf they are doing, then I'll start believing in conspiracy theories.

What conspiracy theory?

The bilderberger group exists, they even have a web site since last year, the participants are the 'elite' of politicians, banksters, corporate bosses and aristocracy.

They are holding a secret meeting annually, currently in Switzerland from today until this coming Sunday.

What they discuss and the outcome of their discussions is top secret, which is quite worrying when politicians participate, who should be accountable to the people they represent.

Furthermore the aims of the bilderberger meetings as described by one of the founders sound very undemocratic, they certainly sound like a factual conspiracy (see the third post of this thread).

Also why is practically no mass media reporting about this meeting?

If this is not a factual conspiracy that should worry you then I really don't know what else should worry you.

At the very least we should demand that participating politicians give a full account of what they heard, what they said and what was decided.

Some people will go into denial as a self protection mode. First it was "bilderberg doesn't exist, its a conspiracy theory", then when it came out that yes they exist the sheep now say "OK well they exist, but I don't care what they do".

The principle of an open society is that if someone is elected and given power, then we should be allowed to know what they are planning to use that power for, and the "free press" has this responsibility. If it is so benign, like a glorified dinner party, why not report so in the media, why keep it a secret?

What are they planning? Something along the lines of, more attacks on the middle and lower classes, more EU integration, more international integration, more free trade and outsourcing deals, more wars for resources, more scams like carbon emission credits. The usual.

Topics will include phase 2 of the Bankster take-over. They will need another global meltdown as the first didn't quite achieve the objective it sought to reach.

Exactly - like millions of poor jews(and others) who kept denying anything really nasty was going to happen to them - until they arrived at the doors of Aushwitz with their suitcases.

St Moritz >>> symbology

The highest summit in the Eastern Alps, the Piz Bernina, lies a few kilometres south of the town.

The source for two of the great streams of Europe lies near the summit of the Furka Pass where melting glacial waters begin the long journey toward the Mediterranean and North Seas. The Rhone & on the other side waters begin their flow toward the North Sea as the Rhine, again traversing a multitude of countries including Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France and Holland.

Votive offerings, swords and needles from the Bronze Age, were found at the base of the springs in St. Moritz, which indicate that the Celts had already discovered them.

I was referring more to the various NWO aspirations that are attached to them, plus the general air of omnipotent power. I don't approve of the group - I'd agree that it's undemocratic and the involvement of politicians is very dubious - but I sort-of understand the desire of prominent people to want to meet off the record. To have a place where you can admit to the level of the current screw-up without the press or opposition running with it, or even to safely voice some probably objectionable opinions, seems to me to be a reasonable impulse.

To put it simply, I largely agree with the bbc article, but I think it's a shoddy piece of investigative journalism, and I think the BG are, in the scheme of things, relatively harmless. I'm far more scared of stupidity than I am of competence.

It is the response they will engineer. Moodys having a pop at Japans credit rating could be a good starting point.

It helps their cause no end when people think like that.

Obviously you didn't read well, it's a meeting of very powerful people that have complete contempt for democracy, since they believe their power gives them the right to tell politicians what to do (rather than the politicians listening to their voters).

It is fairly obvious that the powerful never cared for democracy, they have tolerated it in Europe and the US so far, but they are also happily supporting dictatorships in the middle east and other parts of the world.

You are right. Voters only give them legitimacy. But the politicians then get their get their orders from those with the biggest cheque books.

Bilderberg is probably just one huge lobbyist circle jerk off.

I'm reliably told that Injin is the keynote speaker this year.

Well that's what I heard :o)

On a more serious note, a lot of people want to believe that a malevolent secret cabal are running everything. As horrible as that option is, it's preferable to the truth. The truth is that the people in charge are as clueless as the rest of us and the canoe really is heading for the edge of the waterfall.

Better to blame the lizard people....

"Wise words" all offered in the correct sort of packaging
