Even Asgardian flats aren't shifting... perhaps a bit more clarity on that £254 might help... is this just a rental with a Yggdrasil-sized deposit?

Strange I saw an almost identical sign at Christmas in Brentwood.

Here it is:

Thinking about it, it presumably means "pay me my original deposit* and take over the mortgage of..."

Do banks ever allow this?

* or, alternatively, "there was no deposit, so just give me some free money"

Even if your solicitor doesn’t have experience of this type of transaction without a bank, my solicitor can walk them through the process to make sure your lawyer is happy.

What we need is someone to give Thor a call. Over him half of what he is wanting, and see what the response is. Can anyone do that and record the call? Would posting that be a breach of the data protection act?

So what happens if you can't pay the £254 per week (!) for his ONE-bedroom flat?

I'm sure this is 150% legit. ;)

Hmmmmm accepting a loan from a bank or a speculator tough call as too which is slimier and most likely to screw you over.

But it's Thor!

Joke. Thor anonymously picks up a girl in a bar. The next day, they wake up in bed, and the thunder god decides he ought to introduce himself. "I'm Thor!" he says. "You're thor?" says the girl. "What about me? I'm tho thor I can barely move."
