Barclays 'considering Buying Regional Spanish Bank'

Recommended Posts

*treble facepalm*.

What do they know/not realise that we don't/do?

Allegedly they want the Spanish Government to underwrite bad debt from business done before a take over. They wanted to do the same with Lehman but the US wouldn't play ball so they let it go bust and picked up pieces...

Title says all and link for the real screenplay !!

Hope they are not gonna make mistake as RBOS did with ABN before bailing out from me and you !!

I dont want another bank in my life again !!

Why wouldn't they be looking to acquire some more bad debt? After 2008 they have a cast iron assurance that any liabilities will be backed by the tax-payer, and any profits will be sacrosanct.

+1

Buying a troubled bank is now a cheap way of buying government bonds.
