Bearish At Breakfast

Recommended Posts

I have watched 20mins of BBC breakfast news this morning, and there wasn't much cheer. They ran through the newspaper headlines - Independent and DT bearish on economy, all the others bearish on civil liberties after yesterday's debacle with the 82 year old heckler at the labour party conference.

8/10 of us aren't saving enough for retirement according to Prudential.

Meanwhile, the "buying a house abroad" series focused on the downsides - a woman who bought a house for £18k in spain has spent £80k rebuilding after it fell down. She has packed up and gone home to save the money to complete the job. Meanwhile there is a legal case pending over the title deeds(!).

And, finally, an article about hens.....apparently self-sufficiency is resurgent.

Only downside was the FTSE broke through 5500 briefly this morning, but I heard on the grapevine that it will plunge WITHIN DAYS!! Buy November puts if you can get 'em!
