Talks about mortgage debt and people struggling to pay..

this is the headline.

Does anyone have a link?

The Daily Express http://www.express.co.uk/ front page headline is "Alarm as Home Loan Debt Hit New High".

Then on page 4 the story continues saying, "Homeowners living in property hotspots are spending up to a third of their take-home pay on mortgage repayments" and "They are hoping that property prices will increase quickly":

This type of thing really infuriates me. In my area (a property "hot spot") the typical 1BR flat would cost 50% of your take home salary in mortgage payments if you earn double the national average salary.

It's typical VI BS - stating with shock that people are spending a third of their salary on their home. Just so people can say, hmmm.....well that's not too bad...

That figure is probably calculated using an IO mortgage.
