Collectively we are pathetically apathetic now - we seem to have accepted our fate as slaves to a corrupt system and being a third-rate nation.

We need a British Tea Party movement with a charismatic leader who makes our politicians look like the third rate local councilors they really are. Someone like Niall Ferguson maybe?

...most people seem to be satisfied by the wholesale change of judges on the X-Factor for their revolution....many don't really understand anything else ....not really been hungry ...yet.....

You may be surprised. The Tesco protests in Bristol, uncut protests countrywide, show the nation does protest. These demonstrations in Europe are bound to cause more people to ask 'why not us?'.

Charismatic like Hitler?

The Tea Party "movement" is nothing more than a fat fool front for rapacious corporations and the super-rich.

We already had our revolution.

The white working classes in this country, faced with working for a pittance in order to pay for a massive Socialist client state of public sector workers and benefit scroungers effectively downed tools.

This is why Labour flooded the country with migrant labour who then also rapidly realised that it is more profitable to leech off the state than work for a living.

The answer will be either extreme right wing policies at some point in the future

Or National Socialism

Take your pick.

+1.

I'd be happy to give either a go.

It's the white working class that were betrayed by Labour - but they are just too bl00dy stupid to realise it, and incredibly still continue to vote for a liberal elite that really represents a tiny proportion of the population (and just don't understand money or basic economics).

Really? Corporate America and the super-rich are in favour of paying back QE, balancing the budget and taking the associated asset price crash are they? I think not.

Who funds the tea party movement? Who froom within the tea party support movement actually accept a smaller state if it means they lose benefits themselves? Where is a comprehensive plan by the movement on how they aim to achieve their goals? While it may have had different aims in its establishment, in my opinion the tea party movement is now just a group co-opted by nuts and the neo-con arm of the republicans who proclaim a small state when they're not in power but extend the size of government when they're in.

True - the TPers are people of privilege who - as has happened before many times in human history - think that they should not pay taxes. Hence their desire for small government.

The desire not to pay tax - which is for the little people - is spun into ridiculous notions of 'freedom'.

Of course, in their envisaged utopia which has unlimited access to cheap labour which pick up their tax bill for them, they will group themselves into gated communities and have access to top-notch private services that the state can no longer afford to provide - but absence of services (and law and order) will be outside the gate, so that's OK.

Just a bunch of tight-fisted sociopaths,basically.

The current malaise has given them the excuse to crawl out of the woodwork and pitch their mean-spirited ideas as being 'patriotic' - when of course in reality they are the polar opposite of that.

Plus ca change...

The model of an ever growing state and social welfare for people who choose not to work has failed.

Because given the choice - most people choose to be paid to sit around and do nothing.

The only attractive alternative is to be paid three times as much for sitting around doing nothing at a desk in a government building.

Either way the model is bankrupt.

Expect government of the sociopaths, by the sociopaths, for the sociopaths

In the very near future
