Labour's Immigration Policy Works A Treat

Recommended Posts

"If immigration continues at this rate, our population will hit 70 million within 20 years and immigrants will account for half of new households. We are already feeling the pressures on maternity units and schools. This rise is part of Labour's legacy"

If you want to stop immigration you have to dismantle the welfare state, who wouldn't want to come here with amount of freebies available.

But the ones who would suffer most are the lazy Brits,no immigrants=no scapegoats.

No you don't, you just have to make it very difficult to access for people born outside the EU.

What about people born within the E.U?

It does not matter where they come from they are still a drain on services.

I feel govt thinks the same and not understanding the impact of EU free movement.

The tricky thing is UK CANNOT do anything for EU movement..

if non-eu stops, then EU starts more..

No, you have to leave the EU before you can do anything about uncontrolled immigration.

I disagree. We can go back on anything if we want.

Scotland are trying to be independent. We can become independent too with the right political will.

The UK has various derogations opting out of EU rules.

England , specifically London , is the 'ground zero' for the banking elite , Rothschilds , British Royal family and many other very powerful elites. If England can rid herself of the EU virus and declare complete independance with no desire to be part of a one world government then that whole charade will collapse like a pack of cards.Of course this will never happen under Labour , Tory or Libs.It will only happen under UKIP or BNP.

The biggest problem we have is that we have too much democracy,do we really need local councils, county councils,Irish assembly,Scottish parliament, welsh assembly, the house of commons/house of lords and then finally the European parliament this must cost a fortune for us all.

Thanks to Nu Labour and the EU we are now finished as a country.

Over the next 20-30 years our standard of living, infrastructure and services will rapidly decline to 3rd World levels.

Unfortunatley this outcome is now inevitable because no one is going to be allowed to take the action necessary to reverse this trend.

Reminds me of the old Chinese curse 'May you live in interesting times'

Well it is going to get very 'interesting' indeed IMO.

UKIP and the BNP will be destroyed by the left wing dominated establishment.

What you have to realise is that by the time the BBC and the Guardianistas are forced by reality to accept that they have been utterly wrong for the last 10-20 years - it will be too late.

Even amongst the most dynamic group of immigrants, Eastern Europeans who come here to work, and at the height of the boom, unemployment was higher than for your "lazy Brits"...

'Unemployment among Eastern Europeans higher than Britons, says bank report' [April 2007]:

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23392324-unemployment-among-eastern-europeans-higher-than-britons-says-bank-report.do

Unemployment among the eastern Europeans who have flooded into Britain is significantly higher than for people born here, a report by the Bank of England has revealed.

Some 6.9 per cent of female migrants say they are out of work, compared to only 3.9 per cent of British women - almost double the unemployment rate.

For men, 5.1 per cent of Britons are out of work, compared to 6.1 per cent of eastern Europeans.

The figures, compiled by Professor David Blanchflower of the bank's Monetary Policy Committee, challenge the Government's repeated claim the new arrivals are all hard-working and have no interest in taking advantage of the welfare state.

As for immigrants from elsewhere...

Why the hell did we ever accept immigrants from Somalia?!!

They are fish out of water here and should have gone to the nearest safe country in Africa.

So, from the top five there, i can conclude theres the muslim states, and the rest.

Who'd a thunk it?

Will say, i bet unemployment is nothing like that high in muslim communities, its simply that they do informal cash in hand work (kebab vans, taxicabs) that way they get a wage and benefits.

Can you provide the source for those statistics please?

Yes; I should have included that. They are from the Institute for Public Policy Research as reported in this article...

'Labour thinktank names immigrants who are a drain on the taxpayer' [November 2007]:

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23414470-labour-thinktank-names-immigrants-who-are-a-drain-on-the-taxpayer.do

The report was produced by the Institute for Public Policy Research, which has close links to Downing Street.

The institute has always in the past been supportive of Government immigration policy and its work has focused on the benefits rather than the downside of largescale migration.

The report's results, which are based on an analysis of government figures, were produced for a Dispatches programme called Immigrants: The Inconvenient Truth. It is being broadcast on Channel 4 at 8pm this evening.

Why the hell did we ever accept immigrants from Somalia?!!

In recent years the majority have relocated to the UK from other EU countries (mostly Denmark and the Netherlands)...

'EU migrants relocating to the UK' [March 2008]:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7312814.stm

...every year refugees and immigrants who have gained citizenship elsewhere in the EU migrate for a second time - to Britain.

Abdi Mohamed is one of 10,000 Somalis who have come to Leicester in recent years from other EU countries.

When his wife got a Dutch passport he joined her in the Netherlands - and then brought the whole family to Leicester.

"We eat on the floor. We can't keep chairs here; no room for them," he says in his tiny kitchen. Then it's up a narrow, steep staircase into the small room where his three children sleep.

Abdi abandoned a spacious four-bedroom house in the Netherlands for this poky two-bedroom terrace. But he's adamant this was the right decision.

"We can get here a Muslim community who can stay together. In Netherlands you're scattered, it's hard to find a Muslim community."

[...snip...]

Most of the new Somali arrivals have come from Scandinavian countries. Hinda Ahmed Awad arrived from Denmark 18 months ago. A soft-spoken single mother of seven children, she works 10 hours a week as a school cleaner, but has no regrets.

"In Denmark, my children were the only blacks in their school. Here there are other black or Muslim children. Leicester is multi-cultural."

[...snip...]

Leicester is not an isolated case. It is hard to get reliable figures, but in Milton Keynes, for example, there is anecdotal evidence of hundreds of Ghanaians who have come from Germany, France, and the Benelux countries.

Nana Ohene Gyan-Boatey came from Hamburg five years ago. He says racism in German schools led him to relocate.

"The children were not happy at school, because of what we know the Germans are. So we decided to come here."

Another big group are Tamils. A recent paper by the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society at Oxford University noted: "Asylum applications by Tamils in the UK have dwindled since the 2002 ceasefire in Sri Lanka," but that preliminary research "suggests a substantial movement of Tamils from continental Europe to the UK is underway."

The relative economic buoyancy of the UK in recent years compared to continental Europe seems to have been a key draw.

But many of the people I spoke to, including Tamils and Ghanaians in Milton Keynes, said getting their children educated in English was a key factor in deciding to migrate a second time.
