Oooh, stunning house - but not on Sandbanks. Funny how high-end Poole newbuilds are uniform in their glass balcony/sliding door style, especially when "house designers" have been commissioned.

I tried the mapview and couldn't zoom out because "too many results" for houses for sale!

It's on ebay as well at £2.85m:

edit: ebay listing has ended.

Pretty cheap to buy and construct aren't they (since the labour cost is relatively low due to quick construction and automated manufacture)?

Sandbanks or not, land is criminally expensive in the UK. LVT FTW.

I've got a 10% deposit, shame 90% mortgages are hard to come by these days ;)

Somebodys obsessed with 13 ghosts

Had to google that, and realised I have seen the film. Didn't make much impression!

I am putting in an offer, even if all my loved ones are captured by demons and consigned to hell.

1 Million, this was probably for the house that was previously demolished on the plot.

I think there is a Daily Mail article on this house somewhere too.

Is it me?

I find that style utterly horrible and soulless. It is reminiscent of a shop, no cosy, warm, 'home' feeling to it at all.

It will be OK on a hot summer's day, but the resty of the time, all those windows will make it feel cold and uninviting.

I love 'em too. Still that one looks too big for Sandbanks. Somewhere completely isolated, perhaps. But I still love the design.

Hufs might be quick to construct, but they sure can be expensive.

I looked at some in Spain, but sadly they came with prices that only a wendy-baller could afford.

1 Million, this was probably for the house that was previously demolished on the plot.

I think there is a Daily Mail article on this house somewhere too.

Article is from 22 Nov 2010. Also refers to a cheaper, similar build:

The Taylor and Anders houses were completed as the housing market went sour, and both have taken a savage cut in price.

David dropped the price of the Lite House by £100,000, while Phil and Natalie have slashed theirs by a staggering £1million - a quarter of the asking price.

'We will lose a bit when we sell,' says Phil. 'Unfortunately, the recession means I need the money for my businesses. An alternative would be to rent it out at £7,500 a month.

It would be a good rentable property, because what can a tenant do to a Huf Haus?'

Christopher Bailey, at Knight Frank, who is selling the Huf Haus, says local agents have taken too long to slash prices on Sandbanks.

'The 30 per cent premium waterfront properties had in 2007 has gone,' he says. 'The price of the Huf was too high. It's right now.'

Prefab houses have huge attractions, but prefab profits are another matter entirely.

I love them too, but they never seem to sit right in UK landscapes for some reason IMO, maybe it's because they're too much of a contrast with the kind of houses we have here.

This is for sale just up the road from us, not sure if it's an actual Huf, but it's stuck between ordinary 4 bed detached houses on the side of a very busy road, sticks out like a sore thumb.

Yes, I see the clash with the stone built stuff in one of those photos.

Solution? Hedges, I guess.

The design seems quite traditional for timber frame, it's just the amount of glass.

Edit time showing as 12:00 to me.

What difference would it make anyway?

Caught you in the act!
