MrPin
Well actually there were quite a few but I figured it's best to get ready cash from a boomer it's their time to pay up and they have 2 ways to do it buy an over priced asset from me or die and let my generation inherit. Absolutely correct! That's just business sense!
Discopants
What??? You'd pay that, in an area whose biggest and best employer is closing down? Pfizer did a U turn in the end, they are staying in Kent for the time being with around 350 staff. They are now marketing the rest of the site as a science park and have government tax incentives package to try to bring other firms in, in place now. If they cant get anyone to relocate with those terms it's looking pretty bleak for good employment prospects in the future. I actually ended up paying around 2005 prices plus 10%, this is actually pretty good for round here, plenty of stuff in this town is 2007 and some. It's a very pretty seaside town and any boomers leaving London behind can, and do outcompete on price with the locals.

I thought the whole of Kent was rubbish! There were millions of people when I went there! They were making viagra! Everything in the car park had a sun roof!! I guess it worked! NEO72
Well it's all good in north London. I put my place on the market and got an asking price offer from a downsizer in 4 days it's also a record for the road much to my surprise. Would I have accepted 10% below well maybe but my vendor would have to do the same. You won't see falls in prices until we have mass unemployment however you will I expect see real drops due to inflation eating away at the value. Was there mass unemployment in 2008 then?
