The latest quarterly house price index released by the University of Ulster has revealed the average value of a house has fallen by 15%.

Since the peak of the property boom in 2007, its estimated that house prices have now fallen by 42%.

Have they?

I'd say so - I've noticed massive drops this year so far.

Prices are tumbling across the board, but there are some massive drops at the top end, which may be where that 15% figure comes from. I saw several large houses have a quarter of there value dropped this month alone - 100k or more in some cases.

Capitulation? ;)
