Those Words From The Film "trainspotting"

Recommended Posts

The famous words from trainspotting (1996) updated to reflect the current economy

Choose life, choose 40,000 of student debt, choose a career that gets outsourced before you hit 30, choose a widescreen cheap imported TV and give more money to China and become poorer, do the same with washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose bad health, high cholestorol, from working long hours just to make ends meet, and don't go to the dentist, because you haven't got time. Choose an I/O mortgage on a variable rate then go bankrupt when you cant pay it off.

Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home which is paid for by the government out of your hard earned money. Nothing more than a bank to the kids who would sell you to get a deposit on a house. Choose your future. Choose life.

I think if trainspotting was made in 2011, the guy would have continued on as a heroin addict instead of getting clean at the end of the film.

If I remember correctly, doesn't he get clean and then become an estate agent?

Seeing as you bring it up, I'm pretty sure he totally stitched us up by training Darth Vader to use a light saber, then repented and went to live in a cave.

Naah, he traveled back in time to 1900's Paris and ripped off a lot of songs decades before they were written.

When asked why he said "because I can, can, can".

Oh my god your right, the signals have been there from the start, he played Nick Leeson too! I don't remember him having great morals in Shallow grave either!
