Time/day Uk Hpc Started!

Recommended Posts

Well, we have all seen the MAINSTREAM Press and Meeja turn about-face in the last week <_<

Does anyone want to suggest a time/date (whilst this is still fresh in our minds) that the UK HPC started?

Perhaps Webmaster could place a clock counting days/time since crash started??

Just a thought.

won't they put it down to the date at the top of that graph FrozenOut uses as his avatar when they "look back"?

pretty clear turning point to me.

edit: quick frozen out! - you knockin' about to post something so they know what i mean .... ??

Mervyn King made a comment last year, maybe July / August. I think that was it.

For convenience, the national press and government will state Hurricane Rita as the turning point. Not accurate, but close enough for the majority of public consumption.

Personally I would say it all began at the end of last summer. Although one could also state the market downturns because of the London bombings as being linked directly to the collapse of the high street, which, as WE all know, was already happening.
