Kerry Katona Sells House

Perhaps if she had'nt stuffed so much coke up her nose she might have had a bit more common sense.

"The 30-year-old Dancing On Ice contestant purchased the Cheshire mansion in 2007 for £1,225,000.

She is finally rid of the home, filled with painful memories, but made a substantial loss in the deal after accepting £1,025,000.

The reality star is currently renting a £3 million mansion in Surrey for a staggering £5,500 a month"

66,000 yield on a 3,000,000 quid house... so that would be 2.2% yield even with no maintenance etc.

Cracking investment for somene there... :D

Isnt she bankrupt, and doesnt that mean her 'painful loss' is actually our 'painful loss'

Perhaps, but the sale of the house should go towards it.

There's an error in the original article, she isn't renting a house for £5000 or whatever, her management company is.. Because she's bankrupt and any she earns goes to paying her creditors, the management company is funding her "come back" until she's cleared her debts.

Now, say what you like about her, at least she's one bankrupt who is likely to give money back to people she owes, which is more than can be said for most of the others.

She's going to be fronting PayDay type loans soon on TV commercials.

She was also in the Daily Telegraph the other day, in their question and answers thing they do about money. I see to remember a thread on HPC dismissing her/their investment in the Orkney Islands.

I'm out of bankruptcy now but the thing is after you've been made bankrupt you can't get a mortgage for so many years, so I've got to rent. It's dead money. And it's painful.

She was considered quite a looker in her younger day.

Atomic Kitten did a lot of good songs, the guy from OMD was their producer or something? Never seen them live so don`t know if they can sing outside a studio, but some really good melodic stuff IMO.

I always thought she scrubs up well.

From the telegraph interview:

Are you no longer legally bankrupt?

I'm out of bankruptcy now but the thing is after you've been made bankrupt you can't get a mortgage for so many years, so I've got to rent. It's dead money. And it's painful.

Which is a bit ironic to say the least.

Otherwise she does have a habit of pulling herself out of the mire, helped by the endless appetite from "OK style" magazines for the slightest tittle tattle concerning her private life.

she moved out at least 2 years ago. if she went bankrupt then it would be the bank that sold and therefore suffered the hit. silly cow bought it right at the top, I would suggest that whoever bought has paid too much again. it has been lived in continuously since she left, whether rented or bought I do not know. I live down the road and her near neighbours breathed a sigh of relief when she went. paparazzi parked outside her door 24 hours a day. following her round town.

Got to be quite a bit of depreciation on a new build, taking that into account and the fact prices are 15% off in Cheshire, the girl's done OK. Bet she wished she had just rented these past 6 years though.

I actually feel a little sorry for the girl . Brought up partly in care and partly by her mother she made a hell of a lot more out of her life than millions of kids with many more advantages than she had .

Started on pop then onto tv presenting she was quite a bubbly character as I recall .

Then she saw her marriage to her pop star husband break down and for some reason like many a car crash girl victim seemed to fall under the influence of a guy who easnt right for her jjust as she had no one really to trust .

The rest is all too familiar, alleged drugs, drink depression therapy all played in the public eye . Of course she wasn't equipped or trained to deal with any of this so she obviously struggled .

Meanwhile she remained catnip for the tabloid and tacky magazine pond life who care little about the fact that she's a mother of four kids and very vulnerable at that .

I'm not absolving her of all responsibility but it makes me a touch cross that someone so obviously damaged is the source of ridicule and bile on a site like this that us supposed to be for intelligent people.

Just shows the level of payday loan users if this is the kind of image that drives their business.
