Doubtful but if it is a prison sentence, open prison, 6 months out in 1.

And retirement on full pension.

It would be interesting to get the opinion of the members here who are in the police service, my guess is that the majority of police men and women will be delighted with the verdict, thugs like that bring the police into disrepute.

True.

If they expect us to respect the police, maybe the police should live by the same rules.

Even before the verdict, it was obvious that the assault was unneccessary, excessive, unjust and brutal, whether or not it killed the man. The attack was not in any way defensive.

Questions need to be asked why no disciplinary action was taken against the policeman in question.

Seriously we need a police purge.

Other countries managed it. Notably Russia, Georgia and Turkey. I travelled there being told that I was going to have to pay lots of bribes. I only had to pay bribes in Azerbaijan. All other countries were pretty clean and cops were more curious than corrupt.

Just pretending nothing happened just makes it worse and encourages more corruption, exactly like car drivers, they realise what they can get away with and it becomes normal behaviour.

The chief of the MET assures us that this will be 'thoroughly investigated'.

I wonder if I'd get such leniancy when I take out Prescott.

Where are you going? Cinema?

Hopefully it's now out of the police's hands what happens here, and up to the courts.

Isn't that punishment?

Really? This is the heart of evil, from the authority figure allowed to do this, to the idea that human beings require punishment, to the bystanders not raising a hand to help.

No human should be punished for anything, ever.

Completely evil.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

No.

Please go away and learn to think.

What is punishment then in your world?

1The Police could not investigate further until after the inquest.

2 I don't think he will get any pension if he goes to prison.

I think the mods banned the only one.

Thats confusing, because if he was 'unlawfully killed' then it can only be manslughter or murder charges. Does that mean we'll see someone charged with either of those?
