Just saw this on the Home Buyers' Strike facebook group.

(The voting on the link below might only be for facebook users.)

Rightmove are basically running a competition looking for ideas for their site.

My entry is: "Affordability Assessment & Filtered Results".

This is partly satirical, but I would love for it to win just to stick one to Rightmove, so please vote below!!

It's a work of genius. Anyone filling in the information would find zero hits on rightmove!

Rather than having to ring up the agent, find the house number and then go to the housprices section, each place should display the last price the property was sold for and when.

Simple thing to add. Developers and flippers would love this feature.

Agreed, a direct link to the land registry entry for the house. You can find this out at the moment but it's a lot of hassle, going on Google streetview, finding the house and number, logging onto the land registry. The whole point of computer databases is they should make this information available. It's all in the public domain anyhow, so just list it and make everyones life easier.

Totally agree. Also listing the date and history of property on the site - ie date of when it was added and any price drops

But then how would estate agents lie to you and get you to overpay for house? It would make EAs redundant would it?
