Deposit Protection Fee For Tenants And Landlords?

Recommended Posts

Anyone here heard of this?

Sounds like another p*ss take and perhaps showing that letting agents need to make more money...

Its been in place since 2006, most land lords I've done accounts for and presently do accounts for ignore it and don't pay it.

The kicker is the tenant can ask for proof of it at any time, if the LL can't prove he or she has bought it then its a 3 month rent penalty to the tenant.

Agents are just playing middle man here.
