I cannot express just how much I dislike the term "architect designed". Who else would do it?

Are there a lot of "bin men designed", "estate agent designed", "motoring journalist designed" , "diversity co-ordinator designed" (etc ad nauseam) homes in competition with "architect designed" homes?

Is it possible that there is simply nothing else nice to say about a home?

It is not a requirement for a house to be designed by an architect - having an architect design it just makes it more likely to get through planning more easily. Many of the mass-produced shoebox houses are not architect designed, rather put together using an architectural IT package by someone (eg technician) who costs less to employ.
