Newsnight 22/4/11 : Bbc Ramping Gold

Recommended Posts

There used to be a saying that once a trend hit the cover of Time magazine, the trend was over.

My first thought when I watched the piece on Newsnight last night was that the curse of the cover of Time magazine might have found its newer media equivalent.

Usually this sort of reporting heralds a nice correction. We had similar sorts of nonsense when gold went over it's original high of $800+ and when it went through $1000. The media like round numbers.

Either way, price is going to blow through $1650 in time, and then through $2000, $5000 etc.

Newsnight showed quite clearly that they understand nothing. They don't have a clue about what is going on. Just remember - the bubble is in PAPER/debt.

It doesn't matter that silver's up 150% in a year. It's off their radar as it hasn't hit the magic round 50$ yet.

The silver market isn't big enough for the both of us!
