Halifax Hpi Q1 2011 -17.4% Q/q

Recommended Posts

Latest quarterly figures from Halifax showing -17.4% reduction in Q1 2011 compared to Q4 2010 for Northern Ireland with an annual change of -6.4%.

http://www.lloydsbankinggroup.com/media1/research/regional_house_price_map_page.asp

Dropped down -17% since the last quarter and down -6% in the last year!

Rough rounding that means prices must have increased by 11% from quarter 1 of 2010 to Q4 of 2010 before falling dramatically again.

Whilst I Havant noticed any great drop, if any, this quarter I certainly didnt notice the massive 11% increase in the first 3 quarters of last year.

I understand my opinion, that Halifax may have gotten this wrong on both accounts might 'fly in the face of most others on here, I think I may be correct.

The -6% year on Year may well be correct, depending on the mortgages they have given out.
