Executive Sadman
What about this detached beuty for £50k in Reading http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-32328722.html Tbh, I think it is probably a better price and definitely a better place to live than the luton one and the oxford one. A speculative opportunity to buy a most interesting period building adjoining the Thames meadow in Pangbourne. It is built to its boundary but has the benefit of rights of vehicular access from Thames Avenue. No planning permission and its a Flood risk. GordonBrownSpentMyFuture
Ive posted this one before. Station at nearby Wellingborough trains to London take as little as 45mins. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-28367908.html Not sure how far Birmingham is from London, probably less than 1 and a half hours http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-32009216.html http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-25108972.html 1 and a half hours is about right but neither of these properties are in Bham so would need to add another hour to ur journey. Why did we ever let things get out of hand to the extent that something like that costs 50K. As a nation we should hang our heads in shame. Maybe Wolverhampton's my kinda town

Since when did flood risk stop planning permission? near where i work a new block of flats has just been completed. Name was a bit of a give away "waterside mews", according to a old local boy who lives nearby place is famous for 2 foot long rats and it used to readily flood, you can tell by the way the road is raised. Presumably they fixed the flooding problem for now with a bit of pipe or somat
awaytogo
Only 800 metres from Luton airport is why. Property still expensive near airports

Still, mostly tree lined 1930s roads.

Executive Sadman
that looks cheap at the mo for that neck of the woods here's what £45k gets you in leicester.a shed behind some shops with the only access being an alleyway by the side of the barber's shop.rumour has the owner's been applying for permission to turn into the most overlooked one bed luxury flat in the world. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-30365969.html I dont think £125k is that cheap. You could get a 4 bed det in parts of nene valley for £135-145k at peak. Its no worse than a lot of areas, but i think there is more oversupply than other parts of England. Massive new estates all over Northampton, Kettering, corby, Rushden, Wellingborough etc. Not sure how much something like that would cost to build? 60-70k?
