11 people were killed and hundreds injured in an explosion in the metro system of the capital, Minsk.

:(

I'm fed up with the BBC bias. Why is this event less important than the 'Ivorian leader held after siege' news?

After all, Belarus is in Europe and if the blast happened in Paris or Berlin we would have to listen to all the details and endless analysis for another two weeks...

Come on BBC, can we please have some more news from Europe as I'm really fed up with your biased daily news reports about African dictators...

.....because they have to spin the story about Gbagbo, the evil despot that remained in power after being voted out  , to convince the masses that what the cheese eaters are doing is just. Just imagine what people would think if they had an incling that he may have won the election fairly but the French want rid of him to serve their own interests. It wouldnt go down well on top of Sarcozy having merlins on the way to libya to protect totals oil interests before the ink on the UN resolution wad dry would it?
