How Safe Are My Overseas Investments

Recommended Posts

I have a bit of money invested with 3 overseas funds (Japan, Europe, Asia Pacific) with Legal and General and F & C.

What I was wondering is

a) I assume these funds are sterling proof - i.e. if sterling goes down these funds will remain static - or in other words if sterling goes down the relative value of these funds will go up??

B) If the worse case UK plc scenario comes true and it's like the 70s but worse are these financial institutions safe - or in particular are my funds within these companies safe?
