Hays Recruitment Grows Everywhere But Uk And Ireland

Hays said net fees grew by 16pc on a like-for-like basis in the the three months to the end of March.

That was made up of a 23pc increase in fees from Asia Pacific and a 35pc rise in the division covering continental Europe and the rest of the world, helped by strong growth in Germany.

In the UK and Ireland business however, net fees declined by 2pc.

In Britain "net fees remained broadly stable overall with strong growth in the private sector offset by tough public sector markets," the company said.

Hays has seen “little evidence” so far that private-sector hiring is making up for public sector job cuts, Paul Venables, Hays finance director, said in an interview with Bloomberg.

This seems a very contradictory piece.
