Vacant Houses For Sale

Recommended Posts

Doing my usual search in the sussex, surrey kent commuter areas, and lots of the houses seem to be unoccupied. Its by no means most of them, but a lot more than I used to see. Anyone else noticed something similar? Probate sales coming onto the market after the winter deaths of old people, or are there more repos happening?

There's one that I have my eye on*, it's vacant, and has been "on sale" for over two years now - the text has changed slightly on the rightmove listing, but there's been no movement on the price at all - very, very odd.

* Not giving details, for obvious reasons.

Plenty like it too. What are these sellers thinking?

What are these sellers thinking?

"If only grandad Phil hadn't MEWd his life away he'd have left me something worth inheriting"

"No matter, I'll throw out all their patterned carpets and curtains, drench the place in beige and I'll get another £100k for it"

I know of a large 6 bed house in Wiltshire - ideal for family etc. - does need work - but has been sitting there for nearly a year....

People are still in denial.

....no they are in no rush to sell....waiting for the bigger fool to come along....everything is for sale at the right price, a price the seller is prepared/ has to accept, it costs nothing to put on the market......to you and me it is not for sale, so best to laugh then walk away. ;)
