Hiho Silver In Adminstration

Recommended Posts

I bought ear rings from there as a present.

Jewellery and gift retailer Hiho has gone into administration just two months after launching a wholesale division, following what it is calling “extremely difficult trading conditions”.

Thats a shame, nice shops.

At a total guess I would say they decided to buy the warehouse and then fell over due to cashflow.

In a statement on its website, Hiho said that the former management team has bought back certain assets from the administrators and intends to continue to run its website and mobile events

Some would say that it is rather convenient that the new warehouse is in place to service the website and mobile events, if this is indeed the situation.

I've always enjoyed listening to their theme song at discos.

One of the few times I found Jeremy Clarkson genuinely funny was when he annoyed some celebrity 'DJ' waffling about how skilled a job it is, by saying 'anyone can be a dj, all you have do is put 'Hi Ho Silver Lining' on and everyone starts dancing....'

If they are using real Silver, the price of their raw material has gone up fourfold in 3 years.

It's always odd how people value silver, it's only about £600 a kilo compared to gold at £30,000 a kilo.

Not that it doesn't make a bad investment but something which weighs a kilogram in pure silver, and a solid silver ring

or necklace may be 20 grammes is worth less than the labour. £10 in silver maybe.

Solid silver has always had an overstated price for goods.

SILVER reached its highest price since 1980 yesterday
