Cameron Says: "tax The Rich"

Recommended Posts

You could have titled this thread "A Tory tries to fool us with tax lies again" <_<

Heh heh :)

He said the British people would need convincing that every penny of the aid designed to help recruit 9,000 extra teachers and put 4 million children into education was going to the right places....

But.... but....?

British PM tells Pakistan elite: 'Many of your richest people are getting away without paying much tax at all – and that's not fair'

Pakistan elite tell British PM: We know, that's how we like it. Same as in your country, yes?

Define rich - High taxes on income tax becoming rich not being rich.

Taxes on assets would be taxes on being rich - and things like a land value tax or an estate tax would encourage the most efficient use of capital to avoid it being taxed into oblivion over a period of years.

What always puzzles me is that the simplest way to make more tax be derived from the rich is to stop taxing the poor, and yet almost no left wing commentator or party is calling for this. (Gordon Brown actually went the other way.)

Earning less than minimum wage? then no income tax. Reduce VAT, stop forcing people to pay for services that they don't use or want.

It just makes me think they are all hypocrites.

What he says and what he does are two different things . He won't be announcing the U turn on this one though.

Not to get personal, but you are a complete, utter fool. Where is this paradise of economic equality after 13 years of Labour? You honestly think that the Millibands of Primrose Hill are any different than the Blairs of Connaught Square?

Rather than the mindless partisan slogans, how about saying something constructive for once.
