I know plenty of them but more and more keep on coming up, like SMI (I know what it is but I don't know what the individual letters mean), but not what PMI happens to be. I know a few people who found HPC absolutel unintellible because of all the acronyms and felt it made the place uber cliquey and thus they tended not to linger long.
