Blue Nose Bear
Having worked in Gib for a while and knowing how militant the union movement is over there (think 70's UK) this doesn't surprise me. http://www.chronicle.gi/headlines_details.php?id=21388 The point is many of these 'Civil Servants' work for the MOD and go to great lengths to explain their parity with UK civil servants, when it suits them. Obviously this is not one of those times, even though they are paid out of UK taxes. Any UK civil servants here pissed off at this? I am as a private sector tax payer

It is the hotels and restaurants in Gib that are reminiscent of 1970's UK. Gib reminds me of Beamish. Nice people, charming, historical, family oriented, but watch out for the grub.
