Sheffield Gets £1.2 Billion For Roads And Lights

Recommended Posts

SHEFFIELD’S roads will be brought up to scratch after the Government today confirmed a £1.2 billion Private Finance Initiative deal for resurfacing, new street lights and maintenance over the next 25 years will go ahead.

Transport Minister Norman Baker was in Sheffield to make the long-awaited announcement. Work will start in Spring 2012.

I wonder how much this will end up costing local taxpayers in the long run?
