They want the Government to "address the shortage of lending". He wants lenders to "develop a winder range of products than they had before".

Yes you heard that correctly. Was he not around in 2007 or 2008 ? What a muppet.

At the same time another muppet from Homes for Scotland says:

"We would like both Westminster and the Scottish Government to work with industry to introduce a jointly funded mortgage indemnity guarantee scheme where government and builders would pay premiums and buy the insurance to underwrite risk for the banks."

:blink: Em - isn't that sort of what Banks are supposed to do themselves ? Surely if the Banks are not willing to underwrite the risk themselves - well - it sort of tells it's own story doesn't it..
