erranta
Yes - I sussed out the Masonic crap on here years ago - squaring the circle, two masonic temple columns either side, young girl in "Alice" band (thru the looking glass symbolism) Masonic 'theatricals' represented by clown (to take the piss out of the so-called "ignorant" population) OX = OXford Tick-Tack-Toe (Royal Arch masonic TAU (*trio)) "TAU has been adopted into the Masonic system, and presents itself, especially under its triple combination, as a badge of Royal Arch Masonry." MrPin
If there is no TV at night we will all sleep the better for it! There's not enough content to fill the time anyway! I'm not sure Freemasons designed Test Card F! The vertical bars are to determine the frequency resolution of your set! SleepyHead
Back when the BBC used to treat the public that pays for them with some respect. When was the last time we were thanked like that? This is how we get treated by them these days. While they're pumping a property bubble. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uIpbpSU3XA&feature=related Edited March 22, 2011 by worst time buyer

Self Employed Youth
...personally I find the radio more entertaining and informative....added bonus no licence to pay. even with a TV, you don't need a license, I don't want to watch it anyway, or that, that I do, is aired on the net beforehand! TVL can go scoot everytime.

Hyperduck Quack Quack
We should be trying to reverse the trend towards 24/7 leisure and entertainment. It can't be doing us much good staying up to the early hours every night and then having to get up to go to work early the next day.
Guest tbatst2000
http://www.telegraph...-cut-costs.html Not really been a big consumer of late night TV, I thought it would all be full of repeats and dead end shows bought on the cheap? Or they might do something else and put something else on!!!! Isn't this guy paid nearly £1m a year and this is the best he can come up with? All we need to do now is persuade to stop screening programmes during the day as well.
tim123
Should have added that with iplayer late night TV scheduling seems redundant anyway. I hate watching TV on my computer! tim

Clocker
They had to do something to replace the discredited 'detector van' Rick: Absolutely pathetic! There's nothing on at all! Humph! Don't know why we bother to pay our license! Mike TheCoolPerson: We don't. Rick: But, haven't we got a license? Mike TheCoolPerson: No. Rick: But that makes me a criminal! Right on! Yeah, this will shake them up at the Anarchists Society! Occupying the refectories! So what? This is the real stuff! I'm a fugitive! A desperado! I'm going to form a new union society, right? With me a president! 'People Who Don't Pay Their TV Licenses Against the Nazis!' This is only the beginning! Vyvyan Basterd: What are you going to do, Rick? Burn your bra? Rick: Well, someone's got to do it, Vyvyan. It's very easy to sit on your backside, isn't it? Vyvyan Basterd: Not if you haven't got a bottom! tomandlu
Rick: What is that little white dot? Neil Pye: It's a little white dot. Rick: Oh very clever. Neil Pye: Must be really old telly. Rick: What, hippie? Neil Pye: It's a sign, that little white dot. It means something really heavy. It means there's no more telly, it's time to go to bed. Wow. Watched that episode last night with the kids...
The Ayatollah Buggeri
He's just thinking of ways to protect their over inflated salaries thereby avoiding inflation linked rises in the licence - I can just see the poxy tv licence ads now "your licence has increased below inflation because of the unique way we are funded". To hell with him and the stupid bbc. Precisely. In exactly the same way that Labour councils are making sure that the reductions in central government grants are concentrated on the front line (e.g. closing libraries at the same time as giving equality and diversity officers fat pay rises), the lefties that run the BBC are doing the precise same thing.
