100 Mile Oil Slick In Gulf Of Mexico

Recommended Posts

From ZeroHedge:

http://www.examiner.com/environmental-news-in-tallahassee/potential-new-deep-water-oil-spill-gulf-of-mexico-100-mile-sheen-reported

The U.S. Coast Guard is currently investigating reports of a potentially massive oil sheen about 20 miles away from the site of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion last April.

According to Paul Barnard, operations controller for the USCG in Louisiana, a helicopter crew has been dispatched to the site of the Matterhorn SeaStar oil rig, owned by W&T Offshore, Inc.

Multiple reports have come in of a sheen nearly 100 miles long and 12 miles wide originating near the site.

Independent pilots, including John Wathen of the Waterkeeper Alliance, and Bonnie Schumaker with Wings of Care, are currently flying out to investigate the spill. Schumaker reports having seen the sheen on Friday, March 18, and confirms that it is rapidly expanding.

A Louisiana fisherman, who has chosen to remain anonymous at this time, also reports fresh oil coming ashore near South Pass, LA, and that cleanup crews are laying new boom near the beach.

The original leak never stopped. The seabed has a large rift in it. It was covered up, much in the same way as the Japan nuclear story is now being covered up (i.e. by being virtually dropped from the media).

Yes, it was all quite coordinated. Virtually all media phased-out the Japan nuclear story, replacing it with an obsession with Libya (!). The situation in Japan gets worse and all we hear about is some loony Americans attacking the desert.

They extended the exclusion zone to beyond camera range and banned any civilian air traffic - effectively killing any footage similar to the two explosion money shots...

Without a story (other than the official BS gubbmermit one) the press has moved onto Libya to provide it's action..

No conspiracy required - just profit making organisations responding to simple consumer demand...

+1

Media is manipulated through the tactical restriction and provision of access of all kinds. Increased access to computer game-style imagery of bombing brown people, combined with reduced access to radiation-sick yellow people, can only result in a change in coverage. Though this can of course be a quid-pro-quo arrangement between a PR/Government agency and the media outlet in question.

A hundred mile oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico?

That's not news. It's barely even unusual.

The following satellite image comes from 2006. Check out the huge natural slicks on the surface.

Maybe it's not really a story as such?

Need more information.

The reason we have got oil spills occurring in areas we would not previously have dreamt of drilling for oil is the same the reason that the world is going all out for nuclear despite all of it's inherent dangers and irrespective of the fallout (forgive the pun) of this latest nuclear accident. It is also the same reason that the Middle East is in flames and is the underlying reason behind the global financial collpase of 2007/8.

join the dots.....

Yeah the covering up of the Japan thing ; there was nothing at all about it in the big sunday newspaper here but it's still getting massive coverage on alternative sites thankfully.

I'm very bad at joining the dots...always was as a kid. Can you please elaborate for the less perceptive among us?

All these problems have been as well fixed as the world wide financial fraud crisis.

Where's the note = where's the oil = where's the fuel rods = what's next for goodness sake.

In due course they'll all turn up - or not - as the case may be.

How about Jap planners building nuke power stations directly in tsunami danger zones (considering they knew about regular Japanese earthquakes) whose double/triple backup systems all fail - in all reactor buildings?

Why didn't the scientists build in valve release/air replenishment to fresh air in the containment buildings - it must have been easy to predict hydrogen production in the event of malfunction!

But then scientists are gods and everything is understood & under their control - peer reviews confirm it.

Isn't that incompetence rather than a "plan"?

don't see how the original wellhead problem would cause a 'large rift'. Nor, assuming it was leaking all the time, why the oil would only appear now.

So is there a verifiable basis for your claim that there is a large rift? Sources? Links?

Then you won't want to be reading any of the consipicy theories about the earthquake and the U.S. Haarp project.

That's just brilliant, was the US getting it's own back for Pearl Harbour?

How could they be sure where they would trigger an earthquake?

Benjamin Fulford has written a book on the subject, including data on previous induced earthquakes. I'm no scientist, but a lay explanation describes the project as targeting specific resonance frequencies into the ionisphere, lifting the whole ionisphere up, and bouncing some sort of sonic or vibrational boom back down to earth, with devastating consequences.

The existence of the Haarp project was denied in its early years, but like Bilderberg Group and all the other previous 'consiracy theories' now acknowledged and mainstream, the U.S. decided to open a Haarp website just to show their citizens what sort of fun they're having spending all those hard-earned tax dollars.

The really interesting data is in the patent applications connected with Haarp - they describe some very interesting possible end uses that the Haarp experiments could be put to. Some believe that the Iran earthquake was Haarp-induced.

Interesting stuff.

If they did trigger it, was it just an experiment? Or where they hoping to cripple a nuclear power station which would then possible throw up radiation contamination to drift over the pacific and contaminate the west coast of the US?

Considering what happened with Chernobyl we do have idiots conducting the most inappropriate experiments.
