British Beaurocracy For The Win

Recommended Posts

We must be the laughing stock of the world.

I'm sure no-one in the rest of the world has even noticed. Do you know the status of rescue teams from all the other countries??

What a DISGRACE. Again, a complete embarrassment befalls Britain.

International assistance hasn't been on much of scale in general, has it?

The few rescue teams arriving seem actually very small - just a handful of people.

The Japanese Gov website says it has received offers of assistance from many countries - including Britain - but little is specified.

It only specifically acknowledges 25,000 blankets from Canada and 8 nuclear experts from the US.

I think Oxfam usually does better than this.

They could not possibly enter that workplace without a full health and safety appraisal.

Also, scaffolding would need to be erected should they need to change any light bulbs in the shattered buildings.

Also, all members of the rescue party should have passed a CRB check.

Also, measures should be taken to ensure the rescue party suitably represent the rich demographic make up which richly enriches our rich culture.

All the remains of buildings the rescue team enter must have full wheelchair access, disabled toilets and an Islamic prayer room.

If, due to earthquake damage, the Islamic prayer room no longer points towards Mecca, the building must be demolished, and a Mosque on a turntable built in it's place.

Aggression towards the rescue team will not be tolerated, even if the person in question is being crushed to death by collapsed concrete.

Lessons will be learned.

And that's before running checks on the victims.

Are you suggesting we send our bankers to clean up the Fukushima reactor? They are highly talented individuals after all, I'm sure they can handle it.

Idiots, we can't send over anyone unless they have their Japanese languages qualification in order.

How else would the workers be able to ask "Are you alright luv?"

Erm Because international assistance isn't altruistic and it isn't free? I.e. sure sure theyll send a rescue team, but they will send a bill for several billion pounds.. why do you think many countries flat out refuse such 'aid' ?

Also why would Japan need our help anyway? Japan has advanced technology above and beyond what we happen to have.... they also have China right next door who can provide tents and camping equipment to the homeless. It's almost as ridiculous as the hurricane Katrina thing where people shipped food in from overseas. There was plenty of food and water in the next state.
