Complaints Against Estate Agents Reach Record High

Recommended Posts

I think should complain. I put my final offer in Nov 2010 on a repo, but was apparently "outbid" after my final offer for now. In Dec, the for sale signs were removed and no SOLD sign went up. No advertisement was made of asking for any higher offers, which is what normally happens.

I was not kept informed of the final offer made by the highest bidder. The house appears to be empty, and no listing appears on the landregistry. It may appear at the end of March, we'll see.

My powers allow me to make awards of compensation for financial loss and/or aggravation, distress and inconvenience, where I feel that is appropriate. The service is free of charge for the public.

I'm not a regulator or consumer guardian.

This website contains all the information that you need for making a complaint to an agent, bringing the complaint to my office and also provides you with a list of all agents who are members of the TPO Scheme or who are registered with us. If you need any further help or guidance, my staff will be only too pleased to assist you.

Yah! Go forth and complain!

Was on BBC too.
