Ricardo/ Harrison

That guy seems retarded.

Was the argument: that the government scams over a million pounds off you in tax. Simultaneously they enrich themselves by printing tons of money and giving it to themselves, someone who had a nice house at the beginning, has exactly the same house at the end, is supposed to feel guilty in because his house is worth more (when measured in newly devalued pounds)?

In short, the public sector shouldn't be content with 60% taxes, plus all the money they printed, plus the 50% of new houses they currently steal, instead they should steal the rest of the houses too, it's all about fairness.

Or something like that.

Yes, it's the classic addictive pattern of destruction

1) Successfully identifying an issue

2) Promoting even more of the cause as a solution

Problem - the government takes money off everyone and this enriches a few.

Solution - the government should take everything off everyone.

????? - profit.

Well the thing is that isn't what happens - if this model were true then holding property would not return a net in terms of produce. The fact is, it does - a very considerable net. Real estate property acts to gouge producersof their produce and returns absolutely nothing to producers.

One solution is to charge people a market rate for those gouging rights

Not true, because the incentive problem is caused by the fact that government rights to gouge producers (real estate) aren't themselves net paid for. Make the owner of the rights pay and the incentive problem dissapates.

They can't pay for them because they are inherently extortion.

You might as well ask for cancers to be self sustaining.

Correct - they can't pay for them without changing from parasites into producers

And you can't fix it by extorting from them in turn. You can only fix it by stopping the base extortion.

This means no more "land."

This is perfectly logically (morally) consistent

The practical problems are a pig, though

You had an idea when we last talked; perhaps a way of government-like arrangments selling their services rather than extorting?

Has this idea progressed?

No point nor need.

When people are ready it wil evolve itself. People aren't ready.

All this video did for me was confirm that nothing will change and that buying ones own land/house is the only way to go.

That doesn't work either.

Typically these periods end with a massive forced transfer of land to a more equitable arrangement. The aristo's in this part of the world got round it the last few times by chucking lots of peoples own cash back at them but of late have either forgotten that they die when strung up just like everyone else does or think it's different this time and are stopping the recycling of funds.
