New Mpc Member Is Goldman Sachs Man

Love one of the comments i.e. why can't we have 'real people' on the Committee who know what it is like to struggle on a budget and have a mortgage. All these economists have little understanding of the 'real world'

Put a 36 year old housewife with 3 kids and a husband earning £40k on the committee (or house husband - who cares which ??) Or would the presence of someone in the real world be a little to much for these creatures ? Boards of Trustees have to have lay members, so why not the MPC ?

Assuming they're mortgages up to the hilt, I can't see them doing the right thing either.

Hey, back off, the MPC seem to be doing exactly the right thing for my portfolio. Long may their reign of incompetence continue.

Contemporary economic theory teaches us that command economies and price fixing only work if they are done by highly paid economists using contemporary economic theory.

If anyone else sets prices that just communism.

He appears to be a hawk, far more likely to do the "right thing" than some numpty with a large mortgage
